Veja has established a global production chain that highlights solidarity and the environment, from the “the small producers in Brazil to the European concept stores at final output.” One way that Veja puts its mantra into practice is through its use of eco-tanned leather. This leather is tanned using vegetable extracts such as Acacia, rather than chromium or other heavy metal based procedures, which results in a decrease in water pollution surrounding the tannery plant.
