Viktor Cool AW13
With a striking lookbook that exudes edgy cool and effortless chic, Italian label Viktor Cool release their AW13 collection.
With styling by Donato Panucci and photography by Joseph Cardo, model Fabian Nordstrom appears the archetypal modern man, complete with statement hair and carefree posing. However, the use of an owl in the lookbook helps to develop a more earthy, outdoors appeal that juxtaposes nicely against the more contemporary styling elements – ultimately making this a stand out display.
Designed within a seasonal palette of plum, navy and burnt orange, this varied collection utilises quirky detailing and colours effectively. Mixed fabrics provide welcome texture, with cottons, corduroy, wool and denim all displaying the best of what the season has to offer.
Versatile separates set the foundations of the range, whilst on trend prints, patterns and contrasts also appear throughout – often incorporated into layered looks or applied to hats and other accessories.
Key pieces within the offering include the check blazer and the patterned hat. However, the must-own piece has to be the chunky hooded knit. It’s functional design, duffle-inspired fastening and seasonal appeal make it simply ideal for the cold months ahead.
Showing that winter needn’t equate to wardrobe woes, Viktor Cool provides all the pieces we need to tackle the elements in style.
