Ada + Nik Spring/Summer 2015
British menswear label Ada + Nik celebrated a year in business by presenting its SS15 line as part of London Collections: Men.
Co-creative directors Nik Thakkar and Ada Zanditon debuted the brand as part of the fashion event back in 2013.
The new range, titled Carpe Noctem, features over 60 pieces, many using the label’s signature black, with a select number in grey and metallic silver.
Italian leathers were paired with lightweight fabrics for the show, with mesh used to accent several looks, including a bomber jacket.
Leathers appeared in varying forms from sleeveless to extended, cropped and classic biker styles.
FashionBeans spoke to Thakkar backstage at Saint Martin’s Lane Hotel where the show was held. “Ada and I put our heart and soul into each collection and seeing SS15 come to life today meant the world to us,” he said.
“Today was an opportunity for us to showcase our us of innovative fabrics, technical design and our brand vision to create a moment in time for the fans of Ada + Nik to truly appreciate both digitally and physically.”
The brand teamed up with real-time video app Vyclone to stream the show across social media channels.
Alongside the mainline collection, Ada + Nik also debuted a capsule eyewear line in collaboration with Toyshades, as well as a leather jacket created in partnership with e-cigarette brand, NJOY.
Both partnerships were highlighted by Thakkar as personal favourites.
The show was styled by Alexis Knox, with hair and makeup by Oscar Alexander Ljundberg and Michelle Webb for AOFM Pro.
Thakkar confirmed the collection will drop in January 2015, with prices starting from £70 and running up to £900. Stockists and further information can be found online at adaxnik.com.
