Antony Morato has turned to colours to distinguish between arms of its SS14 collection. Gold, silver and black headers have been used to creation distinctions between the three lines.
The brand, launched in 2007 by brothers Lello, Giovanni and Tania Caldarelli, continues to push forward with the desire of creating a name for itself in the menswear market.
“Since the beginning the idea was to create something new in casual menswear. Something stylish, dynamic, purposeful but at the same time accessible,” said Lello.
FashionBeans spoke to one-third of the sibling run firm to get an insight into the three offerings: “The Black line is stylish and the most trend relevant part of the collection, the Gold line is the denim-casual part of the collection, and Silver line is the part dedicated to the theme of sport, always keeping up with fashion, in pure Morato style.”
Lello went on to describe the motivation behind two elements of the overall range: “The Black collection’s inspirations come from music, and the cross between electro music and other genres, rock first of all. Black, blue, leather, classical Italian fit with innovation in colour and material combination,” he said.
“For the Gold collection, inspirations are reflected by art: street art and surreal artists, denim colours and denim inspired outfits move to a world of dreams thanks to graphics and colour combinations,” added Lello.
A stand-out piece from the Gold line is a striped cotton blazer priced at £149.90. The two-button single-breasted design is super slim with vertical stripes, semi-lined in contrasting fabric. Classic lapels and patch pocket complete the jacket.
The Silver line carries a pair of fleece shorts with slanting pockets trimmed with contrasting terry fabric in block colours. The shorts have an adjustable waist with drawstring, back pocket with button fastening, priced at £49.90.
