Menswear Brand Taps Stockists Follow Pitti Showing
Printed t-shirt brand Artekl London revealed it has focused on securing deals with several high profile stockists since returning from Pitti Uomo. The menswear label showed alongside the likes of Sprayground, Hype and Eastpak in the streetwear room at the Italian fashion event. Founded earlier in the year by charity investment firm the Artekl Foundation, the company aims to promote the work of new up-and-coming artists. FashionBeans has been given exclusive access to the brand’s debut SS14 lookbook. Several fabric printing technologies have been used to showcase work, which varies from graphic prints to fine pencil sketches. Base colours are available in black, white and marl grey, with bold designs covering the front of the t-shirts, which are manufactured in England and Italy. Styles include the Roaring Beast – a black t-shirt featuring an oversized wild cat head – and Riddle Sphere – a graphic take on the skull print using different faces merged to create one overall image. T-shirts in the SS14 collection from Artekl London are priced between £40 and £50 and are currently only available online. Brick and mortar stockists in London and other major cities across the UK are expected to be announced later this month.
