Berluti x Cycles Victoire
Berluti is celebrating its ties with the sporting world, producing a collaborative bicycle with custom manufacturer Cycles Victoire. The Parisian brand, which has created bespoke footwear for a number of competitive games since the 1920s, has also lent its hand to a line of cycling accessories as part of the launch. Entirely handmade, the bicycle is crafted in the Cycles Victoire workshop in France. The design reflects the heritage of Berluti, with modern touches from the manufacturer, which was founded as recently as 2011. According to a statement, the model is based on those used by delivery men in the early twentieth century. Features include a black fillet-brazed steel frame, made-to-measure carrier, aluminium handlebars and wooden wheel rims. Berluti, part of the LVMH luxury goods group, has also collaborated with Cycles Victoire on a special range of accessories. The accompanying release includes a leather bike frame clutch bag, sling basket handlebar bag and toe-clip straps. A pair of leather cycling shoes has also been created to be used with the bike, in ‘tobacco bis’ and ‘nero blu’ colour ways. Both the bike and the accessories are available now via special order from Berluti stores in Paris, New York City, London and Tokyo. Price is available on request.
