Burt’s Bees To Open Pop-Up ‘Hive’
American skincare and grooming brand Burt’s Bees has announced it will be selling out of a pop-up ‘hive’ throughout May and June – it’s first in the UK. Located in Seven Dials, London, the eight-week lease will see the firm offer its full range of products, which includes natural moisturisers, body washes and shave creams, alongside exclusive gifts and promotions. The brand, which launched in Maine in 1984, produces chemical-free and natural skin and beauty products. Among the new releases for spring is the hydrating coconut and pear lip balm, priced at £3.69. Brand experts will also be on hand at the location to offer skincare advice, demonstrate products, prepare personalised hampers and provide a gift-wrapping service. An early look inside the shop shows the use of wooden furniture and live plants as a reference to the organic ingredients. Yellow interiors mirror the brand’s logo and packaging, while hexagonal honeycomb fittings add to the hive theme. Despite being known for its beeswax lip balms, Burt’s Bees also manufactures exfoliants, facial cleansers and soaps. Though the full range of products is intended for unisex use, the brand launched its first ever dedicated men’s skin care line at the end of last year. Items from the pop-up hive, which opens on May 1st, will continue to be sold at stockists including Boots, Harvey Nichols and John Lewis after the eight-week run.
