Carnaby’s Ultimate Shopping Party
More than 100 brands have signed up to a discount event due to take place on one of London’s most famous fashion streets.
Organisers at the Carnaby Street Ultimate Shopping Party believe the latest showcase is bigger than ever, with restaurants and bars also getting involved.
The location, known for its ties with independent fashion, was a popular retail destination during the swinging sixties era. Today the street and its surrounding area offers visitors a mix of flagships, boutiques, heritage brands and unique concepts stores.
For one night on May 1st, fashion brands will unite to create an immersive shopping experience. Attendees will enjoy a 20 per cent discount on the night from the likes of American Apparel, Dr Martens, Cheap Monday, The Kooples and Barbour.
In an attempt to incorporate a wide range of vendors, Pankhurst barbers on Newburgh Street has joined and will be handing out a limited number of free beard trims and whisky (booking advised).
Entertainment will be provided by various DJs as well as up and coming band The Struts, who will be playing three sets on the Ganton Street stage.
Following the online buzz of previous rounds of shopping nights, organisers are hoping to create a fully interactive experience.
It has been confirmed that ten people will be picked to win items tweeted on the night using the hashtag #Carnaby. The Instagram photo with the same hash tag that receives the most likes will win £100 to spend at the retail hub.
Tickets for the event, which will run for 5pm – 9pm, are freely available online at Carnaby.co.uk. Registration automatically enters shoppers into a prize draw to take home £500 worth of shopping vouchers, goodie bags and a t-shirt signed by The Struts.
