British Firms Marks Website Relaunch
British accessories label Chapman Bags has released a new men’s summer collection to coincide with the relaunch of its transactional website. To celebrate both announcements, the heritage firm has released a selection of illustrated images of the new line exclusively to FashionBeans. The collection features a brand new logo, made up of two crossed hooks as a reference to Chapman’s production of fishing bags and accessories. Prices start from £99.50 for an iPad Case; the small design is inspired by original World War II map bags. A higher priced Flight Holdall at £349 comes in green canvas with leather handles and corners and is designed to meet current International Air Transport Association carry-on regulations. The relaunched Chapman’s website is now fully responsive, allows easy usage across different devices including PCs, laptops, tablets and smart phones. An additional feature allows bags to be customised to the buyers specifications, from a selection of different colour and material options. The company, which specialises in manufacturing hand-crafted canvas, leather and tweed bags, was founded in the early 1980s by business man John Chapman. Each bag is produced in Chapman’s own factory in Carlisle, Cumbria, with traditional techniques such as hand cutting patterns still used. The full line is available to buy now online and via UK and worldwide stockists.
