Crockett & Jones Spring/Summer 2014

Heritage brand Crockett & Jones has revealed the drop date for its spring/summer 2014 collection. The UK’s largest family-owned and run Goodyear welted shoe manufacturer plans to roll out its latest offering across March and April. The internationally stocked firm, which is currently taking pre-orders in its London, New York and Belgian stores, will begin releasing two lines as of next month. Split into two distinct collections, the Hand Grade line contains a selection of contemporary and sophisticated footwear styles while the Main Line range consists of smart, classic and modern Oxfords, loafers, Derbies and monk-straps.

The Hand Grade Collection

Included in the Hand Grade collection is the Vincent shoe. An elegant tassel loafer, the style has been constructed using an asymmetric last, shaped to the natural contours of the foot. With its hand pulled-up apron and interlace design, the brand highlights its exceptional fit and sophisticated style as key features:

Meanwhile, the newly included Guildford full brogue Oxford wing tip offers a smarter alternative to suede footwear. With a single leather sole and discreet hole punching, the Main Line piece comes in polo brown. Other silhouettes on offer include an Oxford with medallion designed toe, a summer Derby with contrast laces and stitches, and a double monk-strap – a popular silhouette seen at London Collections: MEN.

Crockett & Jones recently featured in part of the Great British Railway Journey television programme on BBC2. The brand’s appearance showed it in the same Northampton-based factory for a fifth generation. Each shoe produced undergoes around two hundred separate operations across eight different departments to make truly traditional footwear. Prices for both lines start at £310 and will be available at CrockettAndJones.com, Crockett & Jones’ eleven locations worldwide and through stockists including Harrods, Selfridges and FarFetch.
