Streetwear Brand Goes Sports Luxe For New Season
Crooks & Castles, the LA-based streetwear brand stocked by London department stores, has chosen to release its AW14 lookbook exclusively through FashionBeans. The label’s new season collection is made up of t-shirts, shorts, joggers, sweatshirts, baseball jackets, hoodies, shirts, head wear and accessories. Clothing includes a minimal black crew neck sweatshirt with large logo pattern and a hooded anorak jacket with all-over patch effect print. Meanwhile, accessories comprise of hats and bags. Despite being pitched as a streetwear brand, several details within the AW14 collection, such as gold zips, textured fabrics and panelling, deliver a sports luxe feel. The company’s name is taken from the urban scene of Los Angeles. According to the brand it is a reference to the ‘crooks’ who stop at nothing to get their ‘castle’. Inspiration comes from the founder’s own youth growing up in California during the 1980s and 1990s, with styles and trends from the street scene during the time. The AW14 collection is available to buy now online and from stockists including Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and ASOS. Prices start at £25 for hats, £30 for t-shirts, £65 for sweatshirts, £85 for hoodies and £135 for jackets.
