Diverso Menswear Spring/Summer 2014
Luxury menswear label Diverso has launched its SS14 collection, fusing Italian craftsmanship with British design.
The latest offering from the brand softens their usually smart approach with the introduction of casual pieces, including t-shirts, shorts and jackets.
Designer James Reynolds told FashionBeans: “For spring/summer 2014 we’ve worked with a lot of bias trimming, block piping and contrast detailing to finish different parts of the collection.”
However, Diverso has maintained an emphasis on fabrics, which are often the starting point of each product: “Rich, luxurious textures are used for the more elegant and understated elements with fabrics like our floral prints used to inject a bit of colour and fun into the season.”
It’s the first time casual pieces, such as the summer bomber jacket and double sleeve t-shirt, have made their way into the collection.
Tailoring has been disassembled into separates, allowing for mixing and matching, giving pieces greater versatility.
One of the line’s more eye-catching looks is a dusty pink two-piece suit. The Jacket, priced at £379, is made from an Italian cotton wool blend. It features a microcheck pattern and comes unlined, making it ultra lightweight. Floral buttons and piping detail on the pockets complete the design. The matching trousers are priced at £149.
The label’s definitive summer bomber comes in green with a mint trim (£145). The lightweight jacket is made from 100 per cent cotton and is coated with Teflon to make it water resistant.
Diverso has welcomed back Ryan Darvill for the campaign after the London-based model fronted AW13 for the brand.
The collection is available at Diverso’s London stores in Spitalfields and St Christophers Place, as well as online at DiversoOnline.com.
