Italian Menswear Label In London Retail First
Ermengildo Zegna has become the first ever menswear brand to take over all front windows of luxury London department store Harrods.
From today, the premium Italian label is visible in each of the 23 exterior-facing spaces of the Knightsbridge landmark.
The project features an astronomical film created in collaboration with head of design Stefano Pilati, taken from the brand’s AW14 fashion show, as well as angled mirrors, space sounds and both static and moving mannequins.
An additional interactive window hosts the first display controlled by the shopper. A 360 degree view of Zegna’s Couture Double-Monk shoe can be rotated by using natural gestures and body movements.
The two weeks stint coincides with the launch of Pilati’s first bag for Ermenegildo Zegna Couture, available in three leathers across five colours.
A statement from the brand said the AW14 collection “looks to the origins of the future, an innovative identity and perspective to contextualise fashion through clothes that are the epitome of luxury”.
Couture is the group’s premium tailoring offering and sits alongside other lines including made-to-measure, Zegna Sport and Z Zegna.
The Windows Project will remain in place until 19th October. The Double Monk Shoes (£950) and Couture Bag (from £2,165) are both available to buy now in colour ways exclusive to Harrods.
