British brand Eye Respect has taken up a summer-long residence at one of London’s top retailers. The Shop at Bluebird, located in Fulham, West London, has announced it will stock the firm’s custom eyewear programme from next week.
The revealed sunglass bar will use two specially commissioned light box units to showcase models. On dedicated weekends, shoppers will be able to have Eye Respect glasses assembled and fitted in store from a choice of frame components, acetate swatches, lens colours and tones.
Racing driver Alex Lynn, artist Robi Walters, actress Caroline Ford and stylist Johhnie Sapong are among the brand’s ambassadors.
Styles include thick-rimmed EJ spectacles, brown and black frames with tinted lenses known as DC, and glossy rimmed glasses, called Alex, available in tortoiseshell and hazelnut.
A spokesperson for the brand told FashionBeans that individual pieces are priced from £185.
Eye Respect frames are designed in London and manufactured in Veneto, northern Italy, where they go through over sixty processes.
The family-owned workshop has been making frames for fifty years, maintaining the design philosophy of sprezzatura, which is a combination of style and attention to detail.
Earlier in the year, high street brand Jigsaw, which owns the King’s Road fashion boutique, revealed plans to open a second Bluebird location in Mayfair, nine years after the original launch.
The sunglass bar opens from May 1st. For more information visit eyerespect.com.
