Menswear Label Takes On Corporate Suits

Fer, the menswear label founded by Argentinian-born designer Fernando Moncho Lobo, has given FashionBeans exclusive access to its SS15 Urban Explorer images. The new campaign comprises of tailored looks – both full suits and separates – as well as super thin wools, extra light cottons and high tech utility fabrics with several colourful touches. Looks include a navy blazer with orange detail and front buttons and a lime green panel design on the reverse. After a long career in finance, Lobo launched Fer in early 2013 with his Assistant Designer Victor Alvarez. as a trend-led alternative to corporate and conservative menswear. The label specialises in tailoring with creative cuts, panels and trimmings using bold colours and non-traditional materials. Speaking about the SS15 collection, Lobo said: “Evocative of the elegance of early century explorers and legionnaires, it is all about earth and nature inspired pigments, khaki and chalk, clay orange and moss green, and touches of cobalt blue.” Prices start at £500 for jackets and blazers, running up to £1,000 for full suits. The full range will be available to buy at the Verónica Moncho Lobo flagship in London and online from April next year.
