Brand Collaborate On Outerwear Boots

Shared military history has called French boot brand Palladium and US outerwear label Alpha Industries to attention as part of a new collaboration. The brands have worked together to produce a new six-piece unisex range using MA-1 flight jacket nylon on the heavy duty footwear silhouettes. Two of Palladium’s Pampa Hi Zip Boots feature, alongside four versions of the firm’s fold-over Baggy Zip style in classic aviation colours such as sage green and black. Details including the bright orange lining, robust side zips and ribbon tags have been taken from the original Alpha jacket design, flanked by Palladium’s rubber toe cap and one-piece moulded rubber outsole. Alpha Industries’ CEO, Micheal Cirker, said he was “very excited” about the result of joining of the two companies, which he called “a natural fit”. Palladium’s global product line manager, Hommy Diaz, added: “Alpha Industries’ roots as an original military contractor, combined with Palladium’s own history as an aircraft tire manufacturer and as a supplier of the French Foreign Legion make this match-up truly authentic.” Palladium has rolled out a number of collaborations in recent months, including projects with designer Marcus Troy and Japanese streetwear brand Atmos. The Pampa Hi Zip MA-1 (ÂŁ60) and Baggy Zip MA-1 (£68) boots are being released throughout September. Stockists include Palladium flagship stores, online and UK retailers ASOS, Fat Buddha, Surfdome and Tower Boots London.
