Fragrance Foundation Awards 2014

Paco Rabanne was the big winner at this year’s Fragrance Foundation Awards. The Spanish fashion house picked up three awards for two separate scents at the 22nd annual event in London. Invictus was honoured in both the Readers’ Choice and Best New Male Fragrance categories. Meanwhile, 1 Million Instense took home Readers’ Choice For Men, adding to its claim as one of the most successful aftershaves of the last five years, with a bottle sold every five seconds. Bottega Veneta narrowly missed out on equalising Paco Rabanne’s wins, picking up two prizes for its Pour Homme fragrance including Best New Design & Packaging. Jean Paul Gaultier held on to its 2013 crown for Best New Commercial Male Fragrance, with Kokorico passing the baton to Le Male. However, Kokorico lost out on getting Best New Print Advertising for a second time around. This year the award went to Burberry’s Brit Rhythm. Retail was also celebrated at The Brewery venue. Harrods was recognised for its campaigns and said it was “delighted” with the win. The event, presented by Natasha Kaplinsky, was judged by the likes of Richard E. Grant, Patrick Grant and David Nicholls. Le Male, Invictus, Bottega Veneta Pour Homme, 1 Million Intense and Burberry Brit Rhythm are all still available to buy from stockists now.
