Upcoming Range Inspired By American Culture
Young Italian fashion label Franklin & Marshall looked to America for its most recent collection, which marks 15 years of trading. The line comprises 24 menswear pieces, including hoodies, t-shirts and sweatshirts, printed with a range of US icons from the 1950s to the present day. Images of some of the country’s most iconic landscapes including the New York skyline and the Grand Canyon feature across items, alongside printed buckets of popcorn, a boom box and a skateboard, nodding to popular culture. The “celebration of the land of stars and stripes” is completed by a selection of baseball, American football and basketball jerseys, in addition to a run of ten printed beanie hats. The brand, which cites American influences as an integral part of its DNA, was founded by Giuseppe Albarelli and Andrea Pesniero in the late nineties. Despite the inspiration it produces 90 per cent of its garments in Italy. Franklin & Marshall’s anniversary collection is set for release in mid November, launching exclusively at its Covent Garden store. Prices range between £22 – £75.
