Collection Captured On British Headland

London-based menswear retailer Garbstore has released its second lookbook for the season, showcasing its own brand and an independent label selection for AW14. Set in Dungeness, Kent, the images highlight pieces from the vintage-inspired brand and its stocked labels, which include Engineered Garments, Mountain Research and Norse Projects, amongst others. Garbstore’s selection covers clothing, accessories and footwear in a mixture of prints, textures and fabrics. Pieces include the business’ own polka dot trousers, a weaved multi-coloured cardigan from Chamula and a panelled check flannel shirt from Needles. The brand revealed the first instalment of its AW14 collection last month in a lookbook called Within the Bills, referencing a lawless area of 17th century London. Founded by former Paul Smith designer Ian Paley, Garbstore draws inspiration from clothing produced after the Second World War and is known for restoring and reworking vintage garments. It shares a space with eclectic vintage toy, homeware and womenswear brand Couverture, created by Emily Dyson, daughter of the famous inventor, in a three-storey boutique near London’s Portobello Market. The Garbstore AW14 collection is available now at the brand’s West London store, as well as online. Prices range from £14 for accessories to £375 for outerwear.
