Over Twenty Brands Join Menswear Lineup
London department store Harvey Nichols has put its weight behind menswear by reopening its Contemporary Floor with 22 new brand additions. Our Legacy, Serge De Nimes, Alpha Industries and A.P.C are among the names now available in the 3,175sq ft space, located on the Lower Ground Floor 2 of the Knightsbridge flagship. Adding to the retailer’s largest ever menswear edit is Y3, Been Trill, Oak NY, Black Scale, Cmmn Swdn and Les Artist. These sit alongside Hall of Fame, Sidian, Ersatz & Vanes, Silent by Damir Doma and TSPTR. Whistles, which launched its debut menswear collection earlier this year, is also benefiting from the revamp. Seven of the new recruits will be housed on an exclusive basis. Harvey Nichols London is the only store in the UK to stock Fear of God, MHRS, Pyer Moss, VFiles Sport+, Trapstar Red Line and Long Journey. A larger deal makes it the sole stockist of Monica Monroe worldwide. Harvey Nichols’ head of menswear, Darren Skey, said key performers such as slogan t-shirts and bomber jackets led to a focus on US labels. “The demand for Contemporary/Streetwear shows no sign of slowing down… We are excited to expand our offering, bringing some of the most exciting new labels in contemporary menswear to the UK.” To mark the arrival, a series of installations and pop-ups from a number of the brands are planned to run throughout October.
