Hentsch Man x Mr Porter

Shoppers at online retailer Mr Porter are being offered an exclusive new menswear collection. Hentsch Man is the name behind the nine-item line, which focuses on a mix of basic and print pieces. The brand’s founder, Brazilian-born designer Alexia Hentsch, says the inspiration came from a 1940s archive print, seen used on shorts and shirts in the range. Despite the decision to develop print and graphics as a central feature in recent seasons, the overall result maintains the contemporary brand’s understated approach. Other pieces that make up the capsule collection include t-shirts, trousers, jackets and sweatshirts. Tailoring in the form of an unstructured linen blazer and cotton ties sits alongside a single footwear offering; produced in partnership with Spanish label Castaner. Hentsch, who founded the brand in 2011 with business partner Max von Hurter, has previously worked with the likes of Mulo and Ape to Gentleman. While the exclusive range is only available online, other Hentsch Man pieces are can be found via stockists including Aida and The Shop at Bluebird, as well as at occasional pop-up stores. Prices for the Mr Porter collection, available now, start at £50 for ties and go up to £295 for the blazer.
