Jane Carr Homme Comes To London Landmark
Luxury accessories label Jane Carr has selected a number of pieces from its Kiss Me Quick collection to be sold in Harrods.
The Knightsbridge department store has taken stock of the items from Carrs male line, Homme, including stoles, pocket squares, cashmere and neckerchiefs.
SS14 from the brand references the London born designer’s roots and plays with a darker, nostalgic twist to finding individualism.
After graduating from Central St Martins, Jane Carr spent four years in Italy perfecting her trade alongside Donatella Versace as head of printed textiles.
Renowned today for her own collection of limited edition and unique scarves, Carr launched the menswear arm in 2010. The offering already has a clientele list that stretches from Jude Law to Lebron James.
Kiss Me Quick sources inspiration from Carr’s own personal curiosity in the fight for individualism between Mods and Rockers in 1964.
The former Jil Sander consultant cited her desire to “explore a darker side to the traditional British seaside, to see grit and grime of British culture and the moment of change, when the innocence was lost.”
Produced in the same mill used by Lanvin, Louis Vuitton and Valentino, the handmade scarves are fashioned from the finest blends, pure silks and soft hand-loomed cashmeres.
Jane Carr has over 200 stockists across the globe, inclusive of luxury boutiques and department stores such as Bloomingdales of New York, Le Bon Marche of Paris, and now Harrods of London.
The following items are priced between £150 – £235 and are available to buy now.
