Jane Carr SS15 At London Collections: Men
Hand-finished accessories brand Jane Carr has revealed plans to show at London Collections: Men in June.
It is the first time the young label, known for its scarves and pocket squares, will join the likes of Burberry and Tom Ford at the three-day fashion event.
The firm’s SS15 Homme collection, its largest to date, will be on display at the Designers Showroom ahead of launch in stores next spring.
Creative Director Jane Carr told FashionBeans: “It is very exciting to be part of LC:M for the first time. We are so happy and proud to present our new SS15 collection in our home city especially since London has always been the home of tailoring and sartorial style.”
“We’ve introduced new products and fabrics, we are really looking forward to presenting it to the press and buyers during the show,” she added.
According to a statement, the range is inspired by the late 1970s looks worn by David Bowie. This extends to pure silk grosgrain ties, another first, which sit alongside bow ties and neckers.
Carr launched her label in 2005, following a five-year stint as part of the Versace design team in Milan. The Central Saint Martins graduate unveiled the brand’s first menswear line at Pitti Uomo, Florence in January 2010.
A provisional schedule released by the British Fashion Council last month shows several other new additions to the fifth round of shows and presentations, including Turnbull & Asser, Maharishi and DKNY Men.
Prices for the SS15 collection are yet to be released, however, the AW14 range, which launches in August this year, will retail between £55 for pocket squares and £350 for hand-loomed cashmeres.
Jane Carr is currently available in department stores worldwide, including Selfridges and Harrods in the UK.
London Collections: Men will run from June 15-17th 2014.
