Kit Harington Debuts As Face
Luxury footwear label Jimmy Choo has released a first look at the result of tapping British actor Kit Harington for its AW14 menswear campaign.
FashionBeans first reported on the Game of Thrones star’s new role back in March. Since then he has had his first outting in the post, appearing at the recent London Collections: Men event.
In addition to the shoe line, Harrington also fronts ads for brand’s Jimmy Choo Man fragrance and a capsule collection of eyewear in collaboration with Carrera.
Creative director of Jimmy Choo, Sandra Choi, echoed her earlier comments about casting the Pompeii actor, describing him as the perfect choice for the campaign.
“He has an innate confidence and projects a playfully rebellious nature. He has an overtly masculine style that feels effortlessly cool and a great sense of humour, and beneath that intensity he is a true gentleman.”
Harington also added: “It is incredibly exciting to work with a brand that is so highly regarded in fashion so it is a real honour to be the face of their campaign.”
Peter Lindbergh shot the campaign at a Los Angeles home. The German photographer was responsible for the iconic 1990 American Vogue cover featuring original supermodels Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Tatjana Patitz, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington.
Shoes in the AW14 collection are priced from £350 and available to preorder now from jimmychoo.com. First deliveries are expected later this month.
The Jimmy Choo Man fragrance and the Carrera by Jimmy Choo eyewear collection will be out from September.
