Footwear Designer To Make London Show Debut Next Month
Luxury footwear and accessories label Jimmy Choo will showcase its men’s line on the runway for the very first time next month. The SS15 range will be on display at the three-day London Collections: Men event, which runs 15-17th June in various locations across the capital. Jimmy Choo was previously only involved in the initiative via efforts at its store on King Street in Covent Garden. The British fashion house has enjoyed great success since launching its women’s collection in 1996, but only debuted a menswear offering in 2011. This first runway display represents the next big milestone for the label since moving its presentation to the UK from Milan last year. In addition to the show, the brand has confirmed plans to launch its first men’s fragrance immediately after, with Game Of Thrones star — and AW14 campaign face — Kit Harington in attendance. The show itself is to take place at 3pm on 16th June and is invitation-only. The fragrance won’t go on sale until September, full details of which will be announced alongside a retail price on the day. London Collections: Men takes place bi-annually at various venues including The Old Hospital Club and Victoria House, with other designers showcasing including Paul Smith and Tom Ford. Prices for the current Jimmy Choo men’s collection range from £295 to £1,495; shoes can be bought online, from Harvey Nichols and from Jimmy Choo stores.
