Cosmetics Firm To Tackle Shaving Rash
Premium skincare brand Kiehl’s has unveiled a new addition to its line of post-shaving products for men with the Close-Shavers Squadron Repair Gel. The alcohol-free formula aims to reduce symptoms of shaving rash such as dryness, redness, cuts, pimples and ingrown hairs caused by a lack of protection between the skin and razor. Made from 90 per cent aloe vera, which accelerates skin recovery, the Post Shave Repair Gel also contains a mix of moisturising squalane and detoxifying peppermint leaf extract. It joins similar products in Kiehl’s Ultimate Man range including Razor Bump Relief and After Shave Balm and Moisturiser. The brand says the newest product comes in response to a study by L’Oreal that highlighted razor burn as the number one concern among men who shave. Kiehl’s vice president of education and customer relations, Cammie Cannella, said: “With that knowledge, we strive to provide men with products that are gentle on the skin, effective, and easy to use. Post-Shave Repair Gel’s soothing, alcohol-free formula has a lightweight texture that feels comfortable on the skin.” The gel will launch in November across all UK stores as well as online priced at £22 for a 125ml bottle.
