Actor to Front Jimmy Choo Inaugural Aftershave
Jimmy Choo has confirmed Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will take on more than previous campaign faces, by fronting the luxury brand’s newest launch.
The 27-year-old actor was recently unveiled as the star of the brand’s autumn/winter 2014 menswear campaign. However, in addition to shoes, bags and sunglasses, Harington will also front Choo’s debut fragrance, Jimmy Choo Man.
The British actor currently appears in movie blockbuster Pompeii, which is released in UK cinemas in May.
Harington commented: “I was very excited to be chosen as the face for such a highly regarded brand and to play a role in defining who the Jimmy Choo man is.”
Details of the scent are being closely guarded, FashionBeans has learnt that it will launch in September and is expected to cost around £40 for a 40ml bottle.
The fragrance will be available to buy at the brand’s men’s store on Dover Street and at the Harvey Nichols department store in Knightsbridge.
Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo’s Creative Director, discussed the casting of Harrington, saying he, “Perfectly embodies the Jimmy Choo Man.”
“He has a natural and alluring masculinity and an effortless sense of style. His cool attitude and smouldering sensuality belie a true British gentleman,” she added.
The firm, which was founded by a Malaysian fashion designer, has 115 stores across 32 countries. Its flagship store is in Bond Street, central London.
