Lou Dalton Special Edition Sweatshirt
Lou Dalton is continuing her long-standing relationship with London department store Liberty by collaborating on a special edition sweatshirt. The luxury retailer was an early supporter of the designer, becoming the first to stock the menswear collection in the capital. Dalton, who has opened London Collections: Men every season since it began, told FashionBeans the sweatshirt is a “thank you” for the backing. “I wanted to produce a style in addition to the mainline offer. Taken a previous run style from the Lou Dalton collection, I re-worked this in a variation of fabrics from a sponge black jersey through to a Braille like cotton also in black.” The crew neck style, priced at £215, is designed to sit along the SS14 menswear range, also available at the iconic Regent Street space. Dalton, who made ShortList magazine’s ‘Brit List’ of talents in 2013, describes her aesthetic as “rebellious English sportswear with a strong attention to detail”. The collaboration result maintains her signature style, with a slightly oversized design and contemporary shoulder panel accent. The sweatshirt, which comes with Dalton’s shield tag in black with gold embossing, is available now only at Liberty London.
