Compact Model Gets New Look From Headphone Brand
Marshall Headphones has revealed an updated version of its Stanmore home speaker system. The compact model is now available in an all new brown colour way. It adds to two existing Stanmore models in black and cream, making it the third edition in the vintage-inspired range. The brand, which released its Monitor headphones earlier in the year, has maintained the design features of its predecessors, including a script logo, vinyl casing and weave grill cloth front. Despite being modelled on older speakers, with the use of analogue knobs, the brand spoke of wanting to produce a product designed for today’s world. The Stanmore Brown can be connected to via bluetooth, as well as three other audio inputs: 3.5mm cable, analogue RCA and optical. At 5.10kg and just under 14 inches wide, the speaker is a smaller version of the Hanwell model. Reviews by The Telegraph and T3 celebrate the “rich, clean” sound, alongside the British kit’s ability to work alongside other audio equipment. PC Magazine recently made it the new editors’ choice for high-end Bluetooth speakers. The Stanmore from Marshall Headphones is available to pre-order online now. The firm is currently giving a four week lead-time for shipping the speaker, which costs £350.
