Asian Label Makes UK Debut In Harvey Nichols
Harvey Nichols has been announced as the exclusive UK stockist of Mostly Heard Rarely Seen (MHRS).
The Asian label is hoping for success in the European market following a US launch earlier in the year.
The AW14 collection comprises of clothing, outerwear and accessories with texture used as a key theme through complex fabrics, cut and sew finishes and patchwork.
The 1970s are referenced with hunting, denim and military jacket silhouettes such as a multi-pocket khaki jacket, priced at £475.
Also available is a sweater, which comes in an oversized red tartan check with a white face patch design on the front.
The international move marks the brand’s second deal with a luxury department store, adding the London landmark to Saks Fifth Avenue in New York.
Hong Kong-born, Tokyo-raised Thomas Li created the label, mixing street cultures found in the two areas to create an eastern-inspired fashion brand.
The brand name Mostly Heard Rarely Seen could be a reference to the founder, who often avoids giving interviews, opting to remain out of the public eye.
Prices for the AW14 collection start at £20 for a studded mask accessory, £55 for t–shirts and £120 for sweaters.
The full line is available to buy now at Harvey Nichols stores and online at harveynichols.com.
