Grooming Brand Launch Tennis Cologne

The scent of sport has inspired a new fragrance from Murdock London. The grooming brand plans to launch Renshaw, the second in a three-piece line-up to celebrate British sporting traditions.

Napier, revealed earlier in the year, honours automobile racing while a third, due to be released in autumn, has already been confirmed to pay tribute to horse racing.

Renshaw features top notes of garden mint, red grapefruit and Sicilian bergamot, alongside assorted summer flowers, green peppercorns and watercress middle, on a base of musk and white wood.

Founder Brendan Murdock told FashionBeans the decision to launch a lawn sport product was not just to capitalise on Wimbledon.

“Tennis is known as a sport of gentlemen, from the movement of the players, the dress and sportsmanlike etiquette displayed on court, it’s rather unique in its way. Hence we sought to celebrate that in our own distinct way.”

Murdock launched its first line of colognes in 2011, adding to an existing range of shaving, skin and hair treatments.

Renshaw will roll out at Murdock’s six stores across the capital this summer, priced at £90 for a 100ml bottle.
