Three new silhouettes have made their debut as part of a collection by ohw? exclusively for Stylecreep. The independent online retailer, which also stocks the likes of Saucony, Edwin and Levi’s, secured rights to the release from the contemporary footwear firm (pronounced ‘who’). Available now, the mini-range contains an eighties-inspired trainer boot with toe guard (Johnson), a genuine moccasin construction boot with whip-stitching detail (Louis), and a hi-top boot on a stitch-down sole (Paling). All three styles blend premium suede with full grain and waxy pull-up leathers in black and tan colour ways. Aiming to deliver optimum fit, the boots feature a phylon cupsole, more commonly found in sports shoes. Bosses say this will give wearers the added benefit of being, “Exceptionally easy to wear”. During the manufacturing process designers strived to stay true to the ‘keep it simple’ mantra of ohw? founders Stephen Gill and Hiro Chen, who started the label back in 2010. According to e-tailer Stylecreep, which is selling the styles for £130, it was the no-nonsense design aesthetic that instigated the first-time collaboration. “Stylecreep… focuses on an evolving brand offer of both classic and not so well-known directional labels, was attracted to ohw?’s ‘strong aesthetics and combination of function and form’,” a spokesman said. The Johnson, the Louis and the Parling are available now at StyleCreep.com.
