British Heritage Brand Launches Capsule Line For AW14

Country clothing brand Peregrine has announced an expansion into merino wool as part of its AW14 collection.

The six-piece jumper range marks the first time the British firm has used the material, produced with wool taken from the sheep of the same name.

Both round and v-neck designs are carried, with details taken from the brand’s history such as elbow patches and an embroidered Peregrine bird. Colour ways include brown, navy, grey, teal and green.

To celebrate the launch, Peregrine invited award-winning street style photographer Jonathan Daniel Pryce to shoot the accompanying imagery on Hampstead Heath.

A spokesperson told FashionBeans that Peregrine bosses hope to pitch the new range at the fashion market.

“This style is an essential piece for your wardrobe. Versatile, stylish and functional, it can be worn throughout the seasons on its own or as a layering piece over a shirt. A perfect look for low-key luxury. Carefully crafted in the UK.”

Peregrine is the brand name of J. G. Glover & Co Ltd. Founded in 1956, the business also sells jackets, knitwear and accessories.

The full AW14 collection is available to buy online now and from UK retailers including Wolf & Badger, Stumper and Fielding and Thomas Farthing. The 100 per cent merino wool jumpers are all priced at £89.
