Sports Brand Adds To Eighties Re-Release
Sports brand Puma is building on the earlier relaunch of its 1980s Court Star tennis shoe with its new Clean Pack. The release features the trainer, made from nubuck leather, in two AW14 colour ways. The chunkier silhouette now comes in a black with beige and inverted beige with black design. A perforated Formstripe seen on the original re-release has been dropped in favour of a gold foil archive logo badge on the heel. A statement from the brand said: “An integral component in Puma’s rich tennis history the Puma Court Star was one of the pinnacle styles arising from the 1980’s when Puma established itself as the go-to for tennis footwear.” “Created for aspiring tennis players and professionals alike the PUMA Court Star reissue now seamlessly fits into the streetwear and style scene.” It joins other archive pieces brought back by the firm, including most recently a dedicated throwback clothing collection. The Court Star Clean Pack will be available to buy from Friday 24th October via UK stockists including End Clothing, Hanon Shop and Footpatrol, priced at £70.
