Second Collaboration For Revered Fashion Names

When luxury retailer Mr Porter teamed up with Savile Row tailoring house Richard James last year, fans were treated to a colourful autumnal collection that paid homage to Harris Tweed. For round two, the label has set its sights set on another classic cold-weather material: corduroy. For its latest offering, exclusive to the online menswear destination, Richard James has produced a vast collection. Comprising easy to wear knits, smart shirting, tailoring, outwear and casual and formal accessories, a variety of classic pieces have been re-imagined in this often un-celebrated heritage fabric. A seasonally-appropriate palette has been utilised, with lighter shades of beige, white and grey joining existing tones of ruby, navy blue and rusty camel, adding to the autumnal feel. With casual designs dominating the range once again, iconic sports-inspired pieces have been pushed to the fore, including the varsity jacket, our personal favourite, and on-trend gilet. Another highlight from the line is the oatmeal shawl cardigan, handmade in the United Kingdom with carved wooden chestnut buttons. The collection is live now on Mr Porter, with prices ranging from the accessible – £50 for silk pocket squares – to £1,595 for a leather biker jacket.
