Thomas Pink Launches Selfie Campaign
A new campaign from Thomas Pink is asking men to question their shirt choices. The famous Jermyn Street name is calling out for wearers to answer “Which Shirt Are You?”, to be in with a chance of winning a prize of up to £150.
The firm, which makes the rugby shirts of both the British and Irish Lions team, will choose a main winner every Tuesday, along with a further two for prizes of £50 and £25.
To enter, applicants are being asked to send a photo of themselves in a favourite shirt via Facebook, twitter or Instagram, tagging @thomas_pink_ and using the hashtag #wsay.
Thomas Pink plans to launch a website showcasing all the looks they receive along with their own style advice.
As part of the campaign, the shirtmaker has released a series of videos highlighting the different fits on offer. Recording artist Clement Marfo, Charles Morgan of British carmaker Morgan, and London-based food artists Bompas & Parr each take on their own preferred model.
Thomas Pink’s Creative Director, Florence Torrens, says: “We wanted to celebrate the shirt – a simple item, but one which is both a uniform and an everyday armour.”
“It is the cornerstone of most wardrobes and is routinely worn by as diverse a selection of individuals as one could imagine – from schoolchildren to presidents, the world over,” he added.
Thomas Pink was set up in 1984 by three Irish brothers. The name comes from an 18th century London tailor known for making red hunting jackets.
The brand offers a number of shirt styles, including classic fit, slim-fit and super slim-fit, as well as ties, underwear and other accessories. Prices for Pink’s best-selling models range between £69 and £175.
