Luxe Streetwear Collection Fronted by A$AP Ferg
Astrid Andersen has created a capsule collection for Topman, it has been revealed. The Danish designer is bringing her athletic aesthetic to the high street later this month with a 17-piece range.
Alongside the retail giant, Andersen has taped hip hop star A$AP Ferg to star in the lookbook, which features a number of luxe streetwear pieces.
In an interview with Dazed Digital, the designer said she wanted the line to be “very clean and sleek but at the same time push some materials and techniques unconventional to Topman.”
The two have previously collaborated on the Topman and Fashion East initiative, Man.
“Topman has been supporting me through sponsorships in London, from Newgen all the way to Fashion East,” the 29-year-old told US site, Complex.
“For the past six seasons they’ve supported me, so this happened pretty naturally. I was really grateful when they approached me with the project.”
The latest collection is made up of oversized silhouettes, in line with Andersen’s signature look. The line features a colour palette of black, white and pink.
Key pieces include a crushed velvet tracksuit, neoprene bomber jackets, fleece joggers, mesh T-shirts, and funnel neck sweatshirts.
According to the designer, the collection was inspired by Americanised images of Indian sports teams.
The collaborative collection will be available at Topman stores and online from 12th June, with prices starting from £54.
