Camouflage Fashion Trainers Get Update
Italian fashion house Valentino is hoping to build on the success of its luxury trainer line with several new additions.
The brand has released product shots from the updated range, which sees the popular camouflage style carried over to AW14.
The high-end designs from joint creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli have been a hit since 2013, prompting multiple new colour ways.
Brown, red, orange, blue and purple all make an appearance on uppers, spiked heels and suede layers.
In addition to the military-inspired runners, the collection delivers leopard and tiger prints on pony skin fabric.
These sit alongside more casual white leather styles featuring single colour-blocks and high-tech leather/mesh mix ‘X-ray’ trainers.
Chiuri and Piccioli called in controversial celebrity photographer Terry Richardson to create the accompanying campaign.
Richardson shot and stars in the images, using his heavily tattooed arms to wear the footwear instead of a foot.
Select styles, such as the white/blue calfskin colour-block trainers (£410), can be bought in store and online now.
Others, including the X-Ray and animal print models, are available for pre-order. The full range is tipped to drop in the coming months, with prices running up to £448.
