Former Gio-Goi Bosses Land UK-Wide Deal
Streetwear brand Your Own (Y-O) will soon be available in Topman’s flagship store on Oxford Street as part of a larger concession deal, it has emerged.
The young label, which was set up in 2012 by Gio-Goi founders Anthony and Christopher Donnelly, will also be housed in an additional nine of the chain’s outlets including Newcastle, Reading and Manchester Arndale.
The ten concessions spread across the UK will stock a total of 54 pieces from Y-O such as t-shirts, hoodies, joggers, jackets and sweatshirts.
Shoppers not in reach of a concession will also be able to buy items via the Arcadia-owned store’s website.
Last month Y-O exhibited at its first UK trade show, Jacket Required. The brand used the event, held at London’s Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch, to showcase its SS15 collection.
Y-O aligns itself with the club scene of Ibiza, having recently signed up the manager of famous club night Cream, Nick Ferguson, as a brand ambassador.
The Donnelly brothers, whose original venture Gio-Goi collapsed in 2013 before being bought by sports retailer JD, began their careers surrounded by one the UK’s biggest crime families.
A new tell-it-all books details the pair’s move from “organised crime to kings of fashion”.
Y-O will be available in ten Topman stores throughout the UK as well as online from next week. Prices will range between £30 – £150.
