Parisian Label Launches Online For SS15
Low-key French brand Melindagloss is set to bring colour and personality to spring/summer 2015. The label, which only launched in 2009, has fast become an insider secret for those who like smart tailored pieces as well as clothes that are a little more fun. For SS15, that fun comes in the form of African-inspired print sweaters and graphic footwear by plimsoll manufacturer Spring Court. Meanwhile, the tailoring in the collection takes its cue from a fifties holiday – think light, single-breasted blazers and clean, white shirts that wouldn’t look out of place in the Côte d’Azur. For a label that sources its tailored pieces from experts in Limoges, France, and its knitwear and accessories from Paris and Italy respectively, the price points are surprisingly accessible, with everything clocking in between £100 and £400. Not bad for those of you who like their designer brands a little more under the radar. Key pieces from the label’s SS15 collection have launched exclusively at Oki-ni this week, so if you’re feeling flush from pay day, you might want to take a look.
