Paul Smith’s Red Ear label has unveiled its spring/summer 2015 collection, turning out a signature line of workwear-inspired casual pieces.
For the current season, the brand offers contemporary updates on classic utility styles, including boxy workwear jackets, hooded tops, relaxed shirting and distressed denim.
Leading with a palette of khaki and blue, garments utilise heavy-duty Japanese fabrics such as woven cottons and selvedge denim, with patchwork and bold check prints bringing lively flashes of red, yellow and orange.
A vintage feel comes through with the added tie-dye effect and collared jackets, while worn-effect denim ties in nicely with menswear’s new rugged direction and extends to shorts, outerwear and raw-edge sweatshirts.
