British heritage label Peregrine has got us thinking of winter walks with its autumn/winter 2015 offering. The range leans predictably classic, but there’s enough contemporary design touches to ensure you don’t look like you’re about to team up with Shackleton. Everything from chunky knit cardigans to sleek outerwear has made the cut, with traditional shapes, transitional styles and rich autumnal shades leading the charge. Each garment has been designed with an eye on versatility, for those more used to tackling the Northern Line, rather than Everest’s North Face. Alongside sustainable pieces, practicality is a key factor in the Bristol-based label’s latest line, with its iconic outerwear produced in new showerproof fabrics to ward off the most unpredictable weather. It’s best showcased on the brand’s limited edition Titan jacket, which gets its name from the cloth it shares with firefighter’s uniforms. It’s not designed for saving lives, just making yours a little bit easier, thanks to a built in iPad pocket, pen holder and a bevy of additional pockets for slotting in your flashlight – or portable phone battery. Only 500 have been made though, so move fast. You don’t want your hopes of copping it to go up in smoke. Peregrine’s full autumn/winter collection is available now at peregrineclothing.co.uk, priced from £17.
