The worlds of sound and style have often overlapped, you only have to look as far as Burberry to see that. In recent years the British heritage label has employed a full time music team, tapped James Bay and Elton John for its campaigns, made the soundtrack a highlight of its runway shows, and launched a channel on Apple Music. Looking to add another string to its musical bow, Burberry has teamed up with Bowers & Wilkins to create a limited edition leather travel case for the audio brand’s latest speaker. Designed in London, the holder is typically Burberry, rendered in either black embossed bridle leather or tan suede, finished with the label’s logo in gold. The speaker the case is designed for, the T7 Gold Edition, is Bowers & Wilkins’ most portable (and arguably most handsome) design to date. An update on the original T7, the lightweight unit delivers high powered sound via Bluetooth for up to 18 hours. To help you put the T7 Gold Edition to the test, Burberry has also recorded live EPs with four Burberry Acoustic musicians: George Cosby, Fenne Lily, Rosie Carney and Ten Tonnes. The EPs are available to download via Society of Sound, Bowers & Wilkins’ music subscription service. The Burberry x Bowers & Wilkins T7 Gold Edition speaker and travel case is available now in a limited run of 200 in Burberry stores and online from Bowers & Wilkins, jointly priced £595. The T7 Gold Edition will be available to buy as a standalone product from September. SS16_MAY_ACC_RGB_CROPPED_07 SS16_MAY_ACC_RGB_CROPPED_05 SS16_MAY_ACC_RGB_CROPPED_06 tancase2 tancase5
