Earlier this year Vetements was on the receiving end of a collective eyeroll when it launched a £185 courier uniform into the market. That said, there’s no denying the brand that put anti-fashion back on the map is flame emoji hot right now. The French design group led by Demna Gvasalia, who also heads up Balenciaga as creative director, is attempting to build on the hype by unveiling a collaboration with outerwear specialist Canada Goose. Debuted as part of a show that included a further 17 tie-ups with the likes of Church’s, Levi’s and Reebok, the collection consists of riffs on two classic Canada Goose styles. Alongside navy and red versions of the brand’s technical Snow Mantra jacket is a reversible urban camo take on its Macmillan parka jacket. While no word has been given on price points for the collaboration, don’t expect it to be easy, or cheap, to get hold of when it drops in November. Cue the hysteria. Again.
