First-class luggage won’t help you avoid the queues, delays and overcrowding, but getting a handle on what you haul your stuff in can make pre-flight packing much less turbulent. Checking in to the luggage game, luxury footwear retailer Harrys of London is launching its first ever range of bags. Designed with the jet-setter in mind, the set of functional travel pieces includes suitcases, briefcases and overnight bags made from fine Italian nappa leather and rubberised Italian calfskin. These are no ‘man-bags’, mind. Patented gel cushioning has been used in the handles of the briefcases for added comfort and as padding on pockets to safeguard tech in the weekend duffel. Plus, the whole line-up is flanked by a selection of superbly stylish small leather goods such as wallets, card holders and phone cases. Needless to say, carousel envy is guaranteed. The Harrys of London luggage collection will begin dropping in stores and online from 20 July, priced from £1,395 for briefcases.
