H&M Teams Up With Kenzo – Cue The Riots

Gird your loins – H&M just announced its latest designer collaboration, and it’s a good one. Coming just a few months after bruises (and bank balances) recovered from a riot-inducing team up with Balmain, the fast fashion juggernaut has thrown Kenzo into the fold for 2016. Joining a list of past heavyweights like Alexander Wang, Comme des Garcons and Givenchy, the French fashion house has been tapped to create a line of clothing and accessories that we tip will sell out at the same breakneck speed. What to expect from the Kenzo x H&M range is likely to be drip-fed over the coming months but we suspect it won’t be far from what creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have become known for – vibrant colours, bold prints, and perhaps even a tiger motif or two. “We wanted to really tell the story of the brand and of us. Together with H&M, we will invite all the customers and fans to the real Kenzo world,” teased Carol and Humberto. We have to wait until November 3 for the Kenzo x H&M range to drop in stores and online, but a preview show is already being planned for mid-October in an as-yet-undisclosed location.
