Nike telling us we basically can’t have Marty McFly’s self-lacing sneakers from 1989’s Back to the Future Part II felt like being dumped after 27 years.

But whatever, Nike, we’ve already rebounded and our new crush, Virgin America’s First Class shoe, boasts a mini TV, Wi-Fi, mood lighting, and a built-in phone charger.

Aside from turning you into a walking ad for the airline, the futuristic sneakers let your toes lounge in the lap of luxury with handcrafted Italian leather uppers, a stainless steel airplane seat belt buckle, a rubber outsole, and come shipped in a LED-lit Plexiglas display case.

The catch is there is only one pair available in the world and they are being auctioned on eBay for charity. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to Soles4Souls, a non-profit charity committed to fighting poverty through the distribution of shoes and clothing.

Sneakerheads and aviation enthusiasts, place your bids.

Virgin America’s First Class Shoe is available on eBay as an auction, currently priced around £7,200.
