Reebok may be heritage-obsessed, but the sports brand isn’t shy about letting other dealers and collectors produce modern takes on its forgotten classics. London-based menswear retailer Garbstore has been working its way through Reebok’s trainer archive over the last few seasons, with cop-worthy results, and has now found itself digging into the brand’s clothing vault. The pair’s first ever joint streetwear collection reimagines Reebok’s running heritage with a series of 1970s sportswear staples – full tracksuits, wind runners, joggers and t-shirts – in authentic washes and fits. Ever the sneakerheads, Garbstore has also come up with two new footwear styles based on iconic Reebok silhouettes. The Workout Plus and Classic Phase both feature suede uppers with retro-coloured contrasting panels. The Reebok x Garbstore collection will be available from 19 August at selected retailers, prices tbc.
