Since the creation of the first Flyknit trainer in 2012, it’s seemed like there isn’t a style in the vault Nike doesn’t want to upgrade with its revolutionary woven upper.
The latest addition to the Flyknit family is arguably the footwear giant’s most iconic OG to date. The classic Air Max 1, which turns 30 next year, has been overhauled with a new ultra-breathable construction to form the Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit, delivering the lightest Air Max 1 in history.
Despite the revamp, the new model stays true to the original retro shape, complete with visible air bubble, toe cap and mudguard.
At launch four colourways will be available – including an eye-popping tonal red option – though we suspect this is a style that will go the distance all over again with plenty more drops to follow.
The Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit will be available from July 28 at Nike, price TBC.
