Links between British shirtmaker Turnbull & Asser and expert perfumers Floris go beyond sharing the same street. Ian Fleming selected Floris’ No.89 as Mr. Bond’s scent of choice for Dr No, while Turnbull & Asser has outfitted a number of men who have played 007 over the years. Attempting to bottle the same allure, the British names have come together to launch 71/72. Named after and based on the smell of T&A’s flagship location at 71/72 Jermyn Street, the eau de parfum is fresh, woody and aromatic. Only 200 hand-poured units are on sale and we suspect some are being kept aside for the next Bond, whoever he (or she) may be. Available at Turnbull & Asser and Floris London, priced £160.
Absolut Elyx x Dominic Jones Bottle Topper
Occasionally you realise there are some much-needed things missing from your man cave. Our list of the bare essentials this week may have sparked some ideas, but we forgot to mention a bottle of premium vodka carrying a £2,000 bespoke bottle topper (our bad). That’s exactly what young, London-based jewellery designer Dominic Jones has created for Elyx, the premium arm of Absolut. The partnership is one of a series of upcoming projects from Absolut Elyx to raise awareness and funds for the charity Water For People, with 100 per cent of the proceeds donated. Belstaff James Hunt 40th Anniversary Collection
Often what makes a brand even more stylish than its products are the stories associated with it. Founded in Stoke and famed for its biker gear, British heritage brand Belstaff has been on the backs of A-list actors, record-breaking speed demons and even the Pope for more than 90 years. This time around Belstaff is celebrating 40 years since British racing hero James Hunt won the Formula One Championship, snatching victory from Austrian rival Niki Lauda by a single point.
